I was just there. I'm very upset with the service in paint department. I first stood there waiting for someone to help me with the small paint samples that I wanted. After at least 10 minutes I went to service desk and asked them to please get some help for us. She did so right away. As I walked back I seen a young man at the end of the isle. He ignored the page so I thought he worked in another department. We waited for at least 10 minutes more and I went back to service desk and asked them again to please get someone in paint to help me. The young man I had seen earlier came up and I gave him the 3 paint colors that I needed. He did work in that department. So far 20 minutes I have waited. I turn around to get some stain that I wanted and came back he was gone... I waited for 5 minutes and went looking for him. He was now helping someone with the paint sprayer now. I waited a couple more minutes and finally my husband who has Alzheimer's was even getting upset. So I told the young man forget the paint. I then went to service desk and complained.
Over three years customer service keeps getting worse. Clearly employees are treated poorly, poor training, and poor or unsupported management.
Hopefully Lowe's can improve the customer service, management, and their stock/logistics issues... a lot of work to do, good luck.
Normally I have Zero issues at Lowe's. However I usually help myself. Tonight 11/20/17 I have been staying by the saw to get a sheet of plywood cut for about 45 minutes. I have pressed the Need Help button at least a half a dozen times after it times out. I even called the store and asked for help. No one has shown up even while I stand here and we're this review. Poor poor customer service on this particular trip.
Nov/Dec 2017 my wife tried to locate a gift here. After unable to locate it in store went to customer service after finding no employees to help, the attendant reluctantly looked up the product number she provided and he said that was a black Friday deal we won't have it again offering no other help. My wife located the item online at a Lowe's store 115 miles away so called Howell store who advised they couldn't help. Called Lowe's customer service line, they were helpful. Tranfsered to other store who said they would not ship, she offered to pay for shipping and they said no. Customer service line called again and they talked to both stores getting them to ship the item. After no contact she called the other store who forgot to send it, apologized then said they would send it. The Howell store advised they would call her when it shipped, after two days they were to call she called store and rude female employee said it wasnt in and hungup. Called again and another employee said the item hadnt shipped since item wasn't paid for so she paid and told would get a call when it came in in 2-3days. After three days called store advising it wasn't in. Two days later called again and they said it was on truck and could be picked up tomorrow. Called the next day to confirm it was in, they checked, a few minutes later they said it was in but someone accidentally put it on the sales floor AND IT HAD SOLD TO SOMEONE ELSE! When asked what they were going to do about this the associate said "Well I guess we can give your money back." No other offer to assist in any way... Unbelievable they DIDN'T OFFER ANY ASSISTANCE OR AN APOLOGY! No apology... really???
Prior to this there were multiple poor customer service interactions or out of stock items. Which lead me to go to Home depot where there has been no service issues, no out of stock items, and proper assistance with ordering of items. In fact I contacted the Howell home depot store manager on two occasions for exceptional customer service by his employees.
If I could give more stars I would. Had a deck delivery scheduled. Got a morning phone call with a followup phone call that he was running 20 minutes behind- no biggie. Jay surveyed the yard, was careful to ask where my septic, well , etc were located and put all 6 loads in the back yard. I did not lift a finger. I had added a 1/4" sheet to the supply list last minute (purely out of delivery convenience for me bc my car is not large enough to haul the sheet) and it arrived busted. He returned it to the store for me and promised to bring another. Next day he arrived with a new one and it is in perfect condition! Thanks Jay! Could not be happier with the process!
Spring 2017 purchased storm windows that only Lowe's carried, when purchasing passed 6 employees who didnt acknowled me or offer assistance. Spent $550 in windows. When checking out I ordered three more of the windows as they were now out, had me pick a date to pick up so set it for 9 days out and they said they would call. 10 days after no call stopped in and was advised since it was an in stock item didn't know when it would be in, the employee was very rude to me and short. I called a week later and the friendly associate looked into it noting the truck should be in in two days and would call. Two days later got the call from the same associate. Went into store and no one knew where windows were, so I went to aisle finding the windows myself. In other words they put the windows out on the floor for anyone to purchase, luckily that didn't happen.
Terrible. Waited 7 hours for our washer and dryer delivery and a no show. No call nothing. The store manager jake was a total ass on the phone and said we will get it out some time in the next month after Christmas. 2 months later!? And you missed your delivery! He was totally rude and extremely arrogant. The one time I go to lowes and this is how it goes. Went to Home Depot not only did they match the price but gave me an additional 10% because of our frustration and it will be here in 4 days, installed and included all of the hook ups. Back to home depot for me!!!! If I could give 0 stars I would have. Dispicable!
