BUYER BEWARE!!!!! I purchased a set of four tires from Spartan about four months ago because they came in at the same price out the door for tires mounted with free flat repair as it would have been to order through tire rack after mounting but without free flat repair. That was a mistake I will NOT make again.
My experience at Spartan Tire was fast and the service was excellent. I had a tire blowout late in the evening and they stayed open after hours to help get me back on the road. Steve was accommodating he had my car fixed within minutes. I highly recommend this team that goes above and beyond for their customers.
Two weeks later to the day I noticed a bulge in the newly replaced tire. I took it back expecting the same service I had before and they would replace it at no cost to me. I was wrong. The first thing that they tried to tell me was that it was caused by road damage. This was impossible because my room was not bent and the rear tire would have had the same exact issue and it was in perfect condition. The owner continued to argue the point and was refusing to place the tire at no cost until it was pointed out to him that his registration with the state of Michigan implied that he was guaranteeing the tire. At this point all of his arguments stopped. He called the manufacturer of the tire and after much grumbling and back and forth he finally agreed to order the tire. However, he still charged me to mount the new tire after it arrived. Because of the run around that I was given regarding replacing a clearly defective tire, I am in serious doubt as to whether or not my original tire that went flat was truly in need of replacement or if they were just trying to make a quick buck on me.
I ended up with a flat on my right front tire that I took in for repair. No problem, they said they would check it out and replace it. Turned out the sidewall was damaged so I needed to purchase a new tire. This is fairly standard even with free flat repair so I thought nothing of it and purchased a new tire, had them mounted and went on my way.
Today was the first and very last time I'll ever visit. First off staff were all sorta rude upon entering. Next I had a appointment for an alignment that's all. They have a "parts guy" who looks at your vehicle and determines what it needs. Sounds like a scam right off the bat to me but whatever. About 5 minutes later tops return back and says I need a low ball joint. I told him I believed him and told him I'd have it done by my family friend "who is a mechanic". So about 15-20 more minutes goes by and they're all just b.s.ing. I asked how the alignment was going to which they said oh you're good. I figured cool trucks finished. Nope didn't even touch it because said ball joint was bad. Didn't figure to tell me until I questioned the progress. How long if I hadn't of asked would I have just sat there? So I say screw it and run it to belle tire Brighton. I didn't mentioned the past incident to see what they would tell me. It's a bigger chain so I figure they'd tell me something. After they told me it was finished I explained all this to them. To which they seemed surprised and told me truck looked fine just out of alignment. Pretty long story summed up, they want your money. If you decline the work they suggested they treat you even worse. What a rip off I hope people read this and decide to go to a more trust worthy shop.
FYI - I have NO problem whatsoever giving this company credit for the good initial service they provided me or giving them credit for finally fixing the issue of a defective tire. What I take issue with is the fact they were trying to railroad me and that when you really need them that's when they do their best to take advantage of you.

I will absolutely never use their services again and would tell any and every person to stay away. They have great customer service when you're handing over money but when it comes to collecting from them for defects in equipment or workmanship their real customer service policy emerges. Once again, buyer beware.
